Sister Darling

Hybridized by Brad Jalbert, 2025 introduction. Sister Darling is a true sister in spirit to our beloved Melissa Darling Rose, sharing the same exquisite lineage. Both bloom as upright, neat treasures, their glossy foliage a perfect backdrop to ruffled, English-style blossoms that whisper timeless elegance. Sister Darling enchants with her delicate palette of yellow-cream hues, offering a softer contrast to Melissa’s warm apricot glow. Together, they create a harmonious duet in any garden or container. This lovely floribunda is not just beautiful—Sister Darling’s flowers are remarkably resilient, enduring rain with grace and unfolding in spectacular masses during her first flush. Each bloom’s color tells a subtle story, from the almost greenish hint of the budding flower to its creamy white and gentle yellow shades, revealing beauty at every stage, whether basking on the bush or gracing your vase. After this breathtaking bloom, she generously gifts a reprise of blossoms lasting until the whispers of late fall. Her shiny, deep green leaves shimmer beside her flowers, adding richness to the display, while her sturdy form, reaching about three feet, stands proud and elegant. A crisp, delicate floral fragrance with a touch of green apple completes this romantic bloom, making Sister Darling not only a feast for the eyes but a delight for the senses, perfect for cutting and sharing your garden’s love.
