Collection
Information the site may store
- Account information such as name, email, username, and verification status.
- Garden information such as saved roses, wishlist entries, plot layouts, plant notes, and uploaded photos.
- Community submissions such as ratings, comments, and any notes or images members choose to share publicly.
- Operational and analytics information needed to keep the site secure, measure usage, and improve features.
- Payment and subscription information that needs to be handled through trusted service providers such as payment processors.
Use
How that information is used
- To provide log-in, account verification, and member-only features.
- To power personal garden tools such as My Roses, wishlists, and plot mapping.
- To process memberships, payments, password resets, receipts, renewal notices, and other service emails.
- To display community-facing contributions only when a user has explicitly chosen to share them.
- To improve the library, in-stock signals, editorial resources, and member tools over time.
- To study overall trends using aggregated or de-identified data, such as which roses, filters, breeders, or tools are most helpful to members.
Sharing, service providers, and member control
We may work with trusted service providers to handle things like payments, hosting, email delivery, and site operations. They only get the information they need to provide those services on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share your private garden, inventory, notes, or other member-only data with sellers unless you explicitly choose to share something with them.
If members choose to share notes or photos with the community, those contributions may appear on public rose pages with attribution. Members should be able to request account updates, ask for contributed content to be removed, and control whether future uploads remain private or public.
If our data practices change in a meaningful way, we will update this page so members can understand what changed and why.
My Rose Tracker mobile app
The free Rose Library can be searched on the phone without an account. Those searches stay on the device and are not sent to us.
When a member connects an existing account, the app stores a protected sign-in key, a private copy of that member’s garden, and any check-ins waiting to sync. A photo taken for a check-in stays in the app’s private storage until the complete update is accepted, then the waiting copy is removed. Account IDs, garden notes, check-ins, and chosen photos are sent securely to My Rose Tracker only to provide the member features the person requested. The app does not contain advertising trackers and does not sell this data.
If someone chooses Share app support details, the app prepares only the latest times and plain app problem codes saved on that phone. It leaves out account details, rose and bed names, notes, label codes, sign-in keys, photos, and messages from the site. Nothing is sent automatically. The person decides whether to share it and where it goes.
Signing out removes that account’s saved garden from the app. A member can also disconnect a phone from the website account page. The phone keeps the bundled public Rose Library so it remains useful without an account.
Access, correction, and deletion
You may ask us to correct or remove information connected to your account. Use the account-deletion page to start deletion of your account, private garden data, notes, and uploaded content. We may retain only the limited records required for tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations, and only for as long as required.
