Nightmoss is the second in a series of three so named originally; Nightmoss #1 is now Fara Shimbo, also available at RVR. Nightmoss 3 is described on Paul’s website, but will not be introduced into commerce. Paul has a gift for naming his roses and I think this name is especially evocative. Paul describes this rose as being of a “deep velvety purple color and a smoky rich fragrance that is so right for the color”. He also says that it appears to have good disease resistance. This is a modest sized moss; suckers are easily controlled. Introduced in 1998.
