Bred by Kordes and introduced in 1954, this Hybrid Kordesii is valued for its hardiness and distinctive flower form. The blooms are a clear, bright lemon-yellow that holds color well before fading to cream. They are semi-double and open flat to reveal a prominent boss of golden stamens, but their most defining feature is the serrated, fringed edges of the petals, giving them a unique, ruffled appearance. Produced in clusters on long, arching canes, they offer a heavy initial flush with scattered repeat blooms later in the season. The plant is vigorous and versatile, reaching 8 to 10 feet in height; its flexible growth makes it suitable for pillars, fences, or even as a sprawling groundcover. The foliage is light green, glossy, and disease-resistant. It carries a light, citrus fragrance.
