Current Notes

'Carding Mill' is an English shrub rose introduced by David Austin in 2004, celebrated for its abundant, apricot-colored blooms that blend shades of pink and yellow, giving an overall impression of orange. The flowers are medium-sized, fully double, and emit a strong myrrh fragrance. The plant has a bushy, rounded habit, reaching up to 4 feet in height and 3.5 feet in width, with semi-glossy, medium green foliage. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, blooming in flushes from late spring through fall. Hardy in USDA zones 5 through 11, 'Carding Mill' is suitable for mixed borders, pots, and containers, and makes excellent cut flowers. Regular pruning and deadheading will encourage repeat flowering and maintain its shape.
