Climbing Rose, Wow — I want that rose! Those were my first words when I saw Red Corsair blazing through an Ontario test field. Imagine a plant completely cloaked in brilliant scarlet blooms from top to bottom: wavy, velvety petals surrounding glowing golden stamens that stop traffic. This is not just a pretty face — Red Corsair is iron-clad winter hardy, robust, and remarkably easy to train. Flexible canes take any form you ask of them, and after the November 2010 freeze she showed zero winter dieback even while in full growth. The wavy ruffled blooms open up and last forever on the plant making it such an easy rose to look after as you don’t need to clean up petals from dropping daily! Bred by Kordes in Germany and decorated with multiple awards, Red Corsair is one of my all-time favorite climbers — a dependable showstopper season after season. Exceptionally rare and hard to find now, we have only 15 plants coming in for Spring 2027. Don’t miss your chance to own this spectacular, limited-availability rose. Pre order for spring 2027, 3 gallon pot size.

Catalog note: This rose record was merged with duplicate listings for Roter Korsar® on October 17, 2026.
