Overview

This is a found rose, discovered by Fara Shimbo, which is discussed by Steven Scanniello in the Spring 07 issue of Rosa Mundi, the wonderful publication of The Heritage Rose Foundation. We will post more information about this rose as we gain more information about it. We have learned that it stays fairly short. Fara, who found it in Colorado, says it stays in the two to three foot range there. It may grow a bit taller in warmer climates we suspect. We have seen it bloom only once, but found it to be charming indeed as we do all the spotted roses. Its blooms are more mauve than our photo. The buds have lovely dark green fragrant moss. This is truly a rose worth rescuing from the ditch in which it was found. Thanks Fara and all you rose rescue/rustlers out there. Photo Copyright 2007 Paul Barden Discovered in 2008.
