Overview

Often cited as one of the finest climbing roses of the 19th century, this Tea-Noisette is cherished for its massive, heavy blooms and unique coloration. The flowers are fully double and deeply quartered, appearing in complex shades of rich buff-yellow, apricot, and creamy-gold, often deepening to amber at the center. They possess a powerful, sweet fragrance with distinct notes of fruit and tea. It is a vigorous climber, capable of reaching 10 to 15 feet, and is famously precocious, often flowering very early in the season and repeating well into autumn. While it thrives best against a warm wall where its canes can be protected, it is known for its ability to produce high-quality blooms even in slightly cooler maritime climates.
