Fiery color + velvety petals + long stems = the perfect cut flower
A vigorous grower and a sensational cut flower, this 2004 Jackson & Perkins introduction, bred by renowned hybridizer Dr. Keith Zary, will set your late spring to early summer garden ablaze with its dazzling blooms.
Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose starts off with elegant pointed, ovoid buds that are yellow with orange edging. Once they open, the 4-inch double blooms reveal up to 35 thick, velvety petals of rich orange with a glowing yellow reverse. They appear mostly singly atop long, sturdy 16- to 20-inch stems, making them excellent, long-lasting cut flowers. They arise in generous flushes throughout the season, and although they only emit a light, musky fragrance, their vibrant colors and beautiful form make this hybrid tea a valuable addition to any garden. The plant is attractive in its own right, covering itself in glossy, dark green foliage that's shown good disease resistance. What a stunning display this hybrid tea makes when its fiery flowers are set against that dark background of attractive, healthy leaves.
Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose grows to a mature size of up to 6 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide, so it's suitable for a number of gardening applications. Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose will look gorgeous planted in the middle of a flowering hedge or behind shorter perennials in a mixed bed. Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose will even do well in a large patio container. But of course, Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose is a must-have for the cutting garden. Provide Wildfire Hybrid Tea Rose with well-drained soil in full sun and remove spent flowers in order to encourage rebloom.
